The student visa and residence on Lanzarote

A growing number of students choose Lanzarote for a season or a degree. If you are a non-EU national here to study for more than 90 days, you need a student visa first and, once you land, a student NIE/TIE.

What to gather

  • An acceptance letter from your school or college in Lanzarote
  • Evidence of enough funds to cover your stay
  • Private medical cover that holds good anywhere in Spain
  • A certificate of no criminal record, plus a medical one
  • The student visa, issued by the Spanish consulate before you fly

Once you land

Inside 30 days of reaching Lanzarote you give your fingerprints and apply for the student TIE. We help you put the file together and hold the appointment.

In Lanzarote

Most student visa requests across the Canary Islands pass through the Lanzarote office. We know exactly what they ask for — and we accompany you, whether you live in central Lanzarote or out in Arrecife.
